Heat Mission! The LA HEAT is comprised of dedicated Fire Department and Law Enforcement personnel from the Los Angeles Area. For the past 14 Seasons, the LA HEAT have desired to play competitive, top-level football while preparing for a championship Season. The LA HEAT plays for the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation. Founded in 1971, the Burn Foundation works in partnership with firefighters, educators, and burn care professionals to develop innovative programs and services. The Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation derived its name and inspiration from an eight-year-old child, Alisa Ann, who was fatally burned in a common backyard barbecue accident. The LA HEAT is a member of NPSFL (National Public Safety Football League), which is now comprised of about 15 teams from all over the United States. Every player of the NPSFL is sworn personnel. Each team plays for one, or a collection of charities and strives to adhere to the same honor and integrity on the field, as we do on-duty. |
